Physiotherapy is a degree-based healthcare profession which helps people of all ages to restore movement and function when they are affected by injury, pain, illness or disability. You can benefit from physiotherapy at any time in your life and physiotherapy takes a ‘whole person approach’ to your health and wellbeing.
At SK Physiotherapy we pride ourselves on providing you with a thorough assessment and diagnosis and we aim to facilitate your recovery quickly with hands on treatment, soft tissue techniques and acupuncture, whilst ensuring that you are involved in your own care through exercises, advice and self help techniques.
Physiotherapists have completed approved standards of training and follow rules of professional conduct. Our extensive training ensures we can diagnose your problems fully and treat the cause; not just the symptoms. Thats why the NHS and major insurance companies use physiotherapists.

WHEN YOU VISIT US
On your first visit we will take a detailed history together with any relevant medical history. We will carry out a physical assessment which may require you to suitably undress so please wear something you will feel comfortable in. We will then discuss and explain the nature of your problem and set out a proposed treatment plan and aim to give you an estimate as to the amount of treatment you may require.
The initial assessment may take up to 45 minutes with follow up treatments lasting around 30 minutes.
We want you to play an active role in your recovery and so every opportunity will be given for you to ask questions and to gain advice to prevent further problems in the future.
We have a varied skill set to manage your pain and injuries, Physiotherapists should be your 'go to' for injury prevention and management.
